Dan's mom sent us a loaded care package! It was full of everything imaginable for Christmas baking! Since I am coming home in two weeks, it means I have to get on my Christmas baking early. Good thing they celebrate Sinterklaas on December 5. Brandy also sent us a care package full of my favorite candy and s'more poptarts!! It was the perfect pick me up from home.
Yesterday we went to Den Hague to see Hubble on IMAX. Dan's department at work paid for the entire department to go so it was great to get to meet his friend and colleagues. Den Hague (of The Hague) is where the government for the Netherlands sit. These are pictures of the building below.
The town itself is beautiful and some of it's streets date back to the middle ages. Parts of the city sustained heavy damage during World War II and has a pretty bleak history during the war. Apparently there are still areas where you can see some of the damage. We were on a tram when these pictures were taken so we didn't get to explore the city but I'm excited to because it looks beautiful. Here are some more pictures of the city.
Then we went to the IMAX to see the movie. Here is Dan fulfilling his lifelong dream of being an astronaut
It's been a pretty great week! Tomorrow is the arrival of Sinterklass!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone in the world send a better care package than Cheyrl? She is awesome at thinking of all the little things.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of care packages, if some of your relatives in, I don't know, maybe Tennessee? were thinking about sending you something, what would you tell them were some things that you missed about the States (that would fit in a box!)
