We had our last two real Thanksgiving's this weekend. On Saturday night we met up with a bunch of friends and had Thanksgiving, complete with all the fixin's. Everyone was American except for two Dutch guys who are married to American's. It was a great night of hanging out, eating too much, and playing Mafia. Anyone remember that game? Yes, it spans oceans. Thankfully, a friend picked us up in his car because it would've been a long, cold bike ride with a marble cheesecake and homemade hot rolls.
We just got home from our second Thanksgiving of the weekend with a different set of American friends. I cooked the turkey for this one and we did NOT have a car to escort us to their house so we packed a 7lb turkey, gravy, hot rolls, stuffing, 2 bottles of wine, and a pumpkin pie into my basket and bungee corded to the back rack of our bikes. Ahh, the life of an American expat.
